Connect USB

Chrome or Edge, HTTPS or localhost. You pick the device. Velix only identifies it. Flashing stays on the official Mayhem Hub.

Ready. PortaPack Mayhem: serial. Bare HackRF One: WebUSB (VID 1d50:6089).

How to upgrade

  1. Put the PortaPack in normal Mayhem mode (not HackRF mode) for the website flasher. Need at least Mayhem v2.0.1.
  2. Use a data USB cable. Connect serial here to confirm the OS sees it, then open Mayhem Hub.
  3. On hackrf.app choose Connect Device, then Manage Firmware, latest stable.
  4. Older than v2.0: switch to HackRF mode and use hackrf_spiflash or mayhem_flasher.bat from the release. DFU unbrick is in that Windows flasher.
  5. SD card apps live in the COPY_TO_SDCARD zip. Mayhem already includes HackRF firmware.

Velix does not push a custom .bin onto the radio. Use the official flasher and do not unplug until it finishes.
